Undergraduate Advisory Group (UAG)

The CET Undergraduate Advisory Group (UAG) provides CET with feedback about the learning experience of undergraduate students during their studies at USC. The UAG holds regular focus groups with students where they are asked to reflect on their experiences with faculty over the course of their education at USC. They are asked for feedback and insights about teaching practices that they believe had impact on their learning over time, including practices they now see as valuable, but at the time did not appreciate or evaluate positively. They are asked to describe ways faculty have succeeded in engaging them in their classes, and they are asked to provide feedback about teaching practices that led them to disengage with the content, the course, or the instructor. Information gathered from the UAG assists CET in developing resources that will help faculty better engage their changing student population.
