University Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

The Provost’s Office and USC’s Center for Excellence in Teaching invite all departments to nominate one teaching assistant or assistant lecturer for the University Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award, USC’s highest honor for graduate student teaching. The award celebrates teaching that enriches student learning beyond the classroom. The University confers up to 3 awards of $1,000 to be presented at the Academic Honors Convocation.

  1. August 2023: Call for nominations
  2. October 2023: Deadline for nominations
  3. April 2024: Convocation

Additional information:

  • Criteria for the awards: Each department may develop its own internal procedures to select its outstanding teaching assistant. Please note: A single nominee is to be selected for each department. Self nominations are not accepted. Previous winners are not eligible.
