Foundations of Academic Dialogue

Join us for a two-part series co-facilitated by the Center for Excellence in Teaching; Quade French, Associate Dean of Academic Culture and Well-being; and Kamy Akhavan, Executive Director of the Center for the Political Future at USC Dornsife. This series will share essential skills to facilitate academic conversations, offering techniques to help students engage across differences and concrete strategies to return the discussion to academic objectives. This is an opportunity to strengthen your ability to keep conversations focused and productive, especially when navigating challenging topics and current events.

The sessions will be recorded and be made available to the USC teaching community.

Participants who attend both sessions for at least 60 minutes will receive a digital badge and a certificate of completion that can be shared in your teaching portfolio.
