Rudy Melson

Rudy Melson

Rudy S. Melson, MHA. is a Lecturing Teaching Assistant within the USC Department of Anthropology; Medical/Biological/Cultural Anthropology and Medical Sociology. Rudy is a Fellow in the USC Center's For Excellence in Teaching. He is also a former Commissioned Health Services Officer in the United States Public Health Service as well as a former Army Combat Medic. Recently, Rudy worked as a Clinical Risk Manager at the Weed Army Community Hospital, Fort Irwin, CA. Rudy Melson has been at USC since 2004; completed his Bachelor's Degree in Medical Sociology and his Master's in Health Administration. He has worked closely with various Departments throughout the University on various projects-currently with the USC-Wellness initiative. Additionally, he serves as a guest lecturer to various schools within the University on military medicine, correctional medicine, and global public health integration. Upon completing a Master's in Academic Medicine, he intends to earn a Doctorate in Public Health: Global Medicine. Rudy enjoys reading, writing, creating, teaching, learning, and healing; connecting with others all over the world wherever and whenever.
