Reginald Laigo is a third year Ed.D. candidate in the Rossier School of Education where he served as a teaching assistant for Dr. Helena Seli (EDPT 110) for four semesters.
Born and raised in Cerritos, California, Reginald moved to San Diego in 1998 to attend the University of California, San Diego. Before graduating from UCSD in 2002 with a degree in biology and minor in economics, he briefly worked at the Salk Institute for Biological Sciences. In 2004, he returned to Los Angeles and held positions as a marketing director for a local financial firm and president of a real estate brokerage company. After several years in these capacities, he returned to school to study counseling at Loyola Marymount University, graduating with an M.A. in 2009.
His dissertation project will examine the factors influential for American faculty to work at international branch campuses in Qatar.
