Lauren is a second year doctoral student in Health Behavior Research in the Keck School of Medicine. Prior to staring graduate school, she received a BS in Kinesiology from USC and worked for several years as a research project manager at the USC Childhood Obesity Research Center (CORC). Her research interests include the determinants and metabolic impacts of healthy eating and related behaviors. She is currently working on a project to assess the outcomes of a cooking, nutrition and gardening intervention in elementary school students.
Lauren enjoys mentoring undergraduate and graduate students both inside the classroom and in practical internships. She has served as TA for undergraduate classes HP 230 and HP 421, and for the Masters of Public Health class PM 604. She has also supervised several HP 490 and Masters Practicum students in research at CORC.
