Sharla Berry is a PhD candidate in the Urban Education Policy program. Her research focuses on teaching and learning in online environments. Her dissertation explores building community in blended and online learning environments.
Sharla earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Loyola Marymount University. Prior to pursuing the PhD she was an elementary school teacher in the Los Angeles area. Sharla has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses, and she enjoys helping students grow in the classroom.
