Working with Faculty
This online module is designed to help new teaching assistants learn how to interact well with their faculty. You will find here video clips from faculty, undergraduate students and current TAs, as well as quizzes, helpful information and a place to provide feedback. We intend that people who study this website will be able to do the following:
- Identify ways to discuss and coordinate your role and responsibilities as early as possible with the professor
- Identify ways to maintain on-going communication
- List information to get from the professor before you start the class
- List resources for dealing with faculty problems
- Identify when a student has a problem what is a "TA problem" and what is a "professor problem"
- List the professor's responsibilities of working with you as a TA
