Teaching Assistant Resources
- TA Training
To ensure a successful TA experience right from the start, all new TAs must attend a training program. In addition to online modules for new TAs (see below), we offer a one-day training program at the beginning of each semester. More information, or see a video of a previous morning session from the training day. Next training scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2013. - ITA Language Institute
If you are an international student and have received a Teaching Assistantship from your department, this Institute is for you! Offered by CET in partnership with USC's American Language Institute (ALI), the ITA Language Institute introduces new international teaching assistants to our university. More information. ITA Language Institute is an additional activity for international students, not a replacement for TA Training. - Modules for New USC Teaching Assistants
In addition to CET's public events and programs like TA training, links from the teaching & learning and academic career resources, as well as documents like the Teaching Nuggets, below are links to helpful resources for new teaching assistants. In them you'll find tips, resources, video clips and more! [Note: Videos require a high-speed connection and QuickTime plugin. They are best viewed in Safari on a Mac and Internet Explorer on a PC with QuickTime 6.5.1.] - **NEW** Wiki for USC Teaching Assistants
USC - CET Teaching Assistant Fellows have created a resource for teaching assistants at USC. Explore the wiki to discover ways to enhance your teaching assistant experience.
