Subject: 2014 University Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award
The Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) invites every department throughout the university to nominate one teaching assistant or assistant lecturer for the university's highest teaching award presented to graduate students. Importantly, the University Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award exphasizes the critical role teaching plays in the mission of USC. Three awards will be presented at the 2014 Academic Honors Convocation to those graduate students who have exhibited consistent excellence in their classroom or laboratory instruction and other interaction with undergraduate students. Each award carries at $1,000 prize.

The nomination deadline is October 18, 2013.
It is particularly special that all nominees are recognized at a special CET reception on Novermber 14, 2013 with an award and citation in recognition for their excellence in teaching. Hence, all departments are encouraged to submit a candidate as all are recognized.
