Instructional Design Advisory Group

Mission

The Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET) hosts an Instructional Design Advisory Group. Members of the Advisory Group include various types of instructional designers (IDs), including: 1) CET staff who support faculty with training and consultations in course design and teaching; 2) School or program IDs who design and build online course assets; 3) Technical IDs who work mainly with infrastructure, hardware, and software; and 4) IDs who facilitate experiential learning or run centers. This group provides a bidirectional path of communication of instructional design needs and best practices at USC. It serves as a source of information for CET about gaps in instructional resources or knowledge for USC faculty, allowing CET to respond to those needs. And, It provides IDs embedded in many different disciplines with a community of practice for sharing resources, research, innovations, and best practices in instructional design.

CET is here to support your teaching and course design.
