The Faculty
University of Southern California
Dear Colleague:
I cordially invite you to nominate yourself or another faculty member for the position of Faculty Fellow at the Center for Excellence in Teaching (CET). This is a position of great distinction awarded to those who are both exemplary teachers and prominent scholars. Candidates must be committed to excellence and innovation in teaching and learning. The Center will be recruiting two new members to begin in Fall 2009.
To be eligible for selection as a Faculty Fellow, a candidate must be a tenured Full Professor, a tenured Associate Professor, or a full-time member of the non tenure-track faculty with at least six years of service at USC. The selection of Fellows is a highly selective merit-based process. The criteria for selection include exceptional teaching, outstanding research, and an ability to engage other faculty in promoting pedagogical excellence and innovation.
A CET Faculty Fellow appointment is for three years. It carries with it an award of $7,500 over three years that may be used as an unrestricted research grant.
