Traci Gillig

Traci is a health communication researcher who explores the role of youth development programs in the health and well-being of young people and assesses the effects of media representations of diversity on viewers’ attitudes toward marginalized groups. Her background includes designing and implementing communication programs for the U.S. Federal Government, biotech/pharmaceutical/ medical device companies, and non-profit organizations. Traci has an MA in Health Communication and a BA with Honors in Communication from Purdue University. She is grateful for her experiences teaching at both Purdue and USC and strives to help students from a variety of backgrounds and with an array of goals for their own education and development to make the most of their college experience.
